ABOUT THIS WORK

One of baseball’s most improbable home runs began as a routine fly ball. As José Canseco tracked the ball to the outfield wall, it glanced off the top of his head and carried over the fence—a moment of pure accident that became one of the game’s most unforgettable mishaps. The painting isolates that split second against a narrow vertical field, transforming an infamous baseball blooper into a study of movement, color and unexpected consequence.

SURFACE DETAIL
