***After many requests, I am finally making the original of this piece available! I held off as I sent it to a couple of exhibitions which it just won 3rd place in the Professional Drawing Category.

The 2019 LDS Youth Theme is John 14:15, "if ye love me, keep my commandments". Last year, my mom had asked me to do an umbrella girl painting for the 2018 Youth Theme "Peace in Christ". In the music video that the church made of the theme song, it showed people walking in the rain when a stranger with a yellow umbrella would come up and walk with them. My mom wanted me to make prints of the painting to give the girls in her Young Women's group to remind them of the video and to go find people to serve! I don't normally do much with prints, but after some persuasion :), I ended up offering them last year for other ward's to get for their Young Women and surprisingly sold over 2,000 prints and shipped them to over 20 states!

This year, I was contacted by many of the same people to see if I'd be doing one based on the 2019 theme to do the prints for their youth again. To be honest, this year's theme was a lot more challenging to come up with an artistic depiction! Also, since it is the Youth theme and not just the Young Women's, I was trying to come up with an idea that Young Men would also like. Aside from the LDS, I wanted to do a drawing that connected with people of all Christian faiths, and I ended up selling just as many prints this year to people not of the LDS faith!
